Two boys drown in Ganga

Ganga at Koyala Ghat area here when they and a group of friends were taking a bath in the river, police said today.

One of them was swept away by the river current last evening after which the other plunged to save him, they said, adding that both drowned.

Their three friends were stopped by passersby when they too attempted to save them.

The deceased were students of class IX at Army school and a search is on to recover the bodies, they added.
