Two 'call taxi' drivers have been arrested here and 12 sovereigns of gold jewels recovered from them, police said today.
Police identified the duo as Kaja Mohammed and his relative Mohammed Nazir and said they were arrested following a complaint of house break-in.
They were arrested based on CCTV footage in which images of the taxi driven by Kaja Mohammed were recorded, police said, adding investigation subsequently led them to the duo.

Their interrogation revealed that they used to monitor locked houses during day time while driving the taxi and would later break into them at night.
They have been remanded in custody.
