A two day National Consultation Meet for Fisheries Development Policy will be organised by Nabard at Kochi from Apr 24.
The meet, to be inaugurated by Fisheries secretary, Devendra Chaudhry, is expected to suggest a policy framework and a growth strategy for the complete and integrated development of the sector.
The event is being viewed as a major landmark in the fisheries development strategies of the Union Government in the coming months, a government press release said.
