Two persons were killed and another was injured when the motorcycle in which they were riding was hit by a truck at Lodhasuli near here in West Midnapore district, police said today.
Three persons were riding a motorcycle when their bike was hit by a truck from behind at Lodhasuli on NH 6 near here yesterday, the police said.
One person died on the spot, while another died while being taken to hospital.
The two deceased have been identified as Rahul Som of Barkulia under Barsol police station in Jharkhand and Basant Netam of Ramra under Basna police station of Chattisgarh, they said.
The injured have been admitted to Jhargram hospital.
