Two die as car falls into ghat pit

Two persons died and an equal number injured when their car fell into a pit on the ghat section today, police said.

Police said the four occupants were returning from the Burgur forest area this morning when the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a deep curve in the Thamaraikarai ghat road.

Police recovered the car.

The injured were admitted to hospital where their condition is said to be serious, police added.
