Two persons were killed and six injured today in a clash between two groups over a 45-bigha disputed piece of land in Madura village under Narpatganj police station in Araria district in Bihar, police said.
The two deceased were identified Biren Ram (45) and Anirudh Ram (40) of Madura village, Forbesganj SDPO Ajit Singh said.
Though no one was arrested in this connection an FIR has been registered against 16 persons, Singh said.
The injured persons have been referred to Purnia Sadar Hospital for treatment, while police personnel have been deployed at the place to keep a watch over the situation, he said.
