Two masons from Bhiwandi were arrested last night by the police for allegedly raping a teenage girl, the police said here today.
Assistand police inspector Digambar K Chandankar of the Narpoli Police station told PTI today that they gatecrashed the girl's house in Velhe village last night at about 6 pm when she was all alone.
Allegedly, one of the accused, Harkisan Dalchand Verma (40) held her hands, while the other accused identified as Prembahadur Yadav (22) raped the girl who worked as a labourer in the locality, the police said, adding that both the accused are residents of Mankoli in Bhiwandi.
They have been charged under Sections 376, 452 and 114 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, the police said.
