Two minor girls, one of whom is
physically challenged, have been raped in separate incidents in eastern Uttar Pradesh's Ballia district, police said today.
A 16-year-old hearing and speech-impaired girl was allegedly raped by two men in a village under Dokati police station area here on Holi night, police said.
The incident came to light yesterday when the girl fell ill, police said adding that a case has been registered and further investigations were on in this matter.
In another incident, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Phephna area here yesterday, the police said.
The girl was on her way to agriculture field when one Sanjay Rajbhar forcibly took her to his room and allegedly raped her, they said.
A case has been registered and the accused has been arrested, the police said.
