A pleasure trip to Srinagar has turned into a nightmare for two families hailing from Manasa town here, with their relatives now anxiously awaiting a word on their whereabouts and safety.
"Shailendra Darak, his wife Mangla and son Pratham, along with their friend Shailesh Sodani and his wife Monica, went to Kashmir for visiting the Valley and were staying in Jamjam hotel in Dal lake area of Srinagar," Shailendra's father Rajiv Darak told reporters here today.
He said that all of them were trapped on the third floor of their hotel and their relatives here have had no contact with them since last five days.
"Shailendra informed us five days back that all of them were trapped on the hotel's third floor and water had reached up to second floor. We have had no contact with them since then," Darak said.
