The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of West Bengal Police today arrested two persons from BT Road area here and seized 36.8 kg cannabis from them.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from the CID arrested two persons from BT Road and SB Park Road junction near Bhramastan bus stop and seized from them 36.8 kg of flowering tops of cannabis (ganja), a senior officer of the CID said.
"We are looking whether they are involved with any gang or not. It seems that they were at that location to sell the ganja to a few customers who fled from the spot. We are looking into the matter," he said adding that two mobile phones have been seized from their possession.
