Two persons held; five crude bombs seized

Two persons were today arrested near here and five crude bombs seized, police said.

One Muthu, facing trial in some criminal cases who had come out on bail recently, was arrested earlier in the day and the bombs were seized from his possession, police said.

They said an employee of a commune panchayat in neighbouring Villianoor had allegedly helped Muthu in making the bombs.Along with Muthu, he was also arrested, police said.

Police said the bombs were allegedly meant to be used to settle scores with members of a rival gang.
