Two Kannada film stunt actors were feared drowned after they jumped from a helicopter during the shooting of a film at Tippagondanahalli reservoir in neighbouring Ramanagara district today.
The shocking scene captured on camera unfolded as Anil and Uday performed the helistunt in which popular Kannada actor Vijay was also involved but swam to safety.
Anil and Uday were seen splashing the water apparently struggling to save themselves after the jump before they went missing.
A diesel boat meant to be a standby for rescue reportedly developed some glitches.
Police said the rescue operation was on to find the two who did the stunt for the climax of the film "Maastigudi".
There were allegations that there were no proper safety measures in place to meet such an emergency.
