Two teens killed in road mishap in Rameswaram

Two teenagers were killed when the motorcyle they were riding collided with a car along the Madurai-Rameswaram highway here today, Police said.

The incident occurred when the deceased, Venkatesan (16) and Naveen (17) of Mandapam were proceeding to Ramanathapuram this evening, when a car coming in the opposite direction collided with their vehicle, they said.

Under the impact, the duo were thrown off the vehicle and killed on the spot.

A case has been registered and investigation is on, police said.
