Two washed away by giant wave in Udupi

Two fishermen were washed away by a huge wave while they were trying to anchor their boat by the Padukere seashore at Malpe near Udupi today, police said.

The body of one of the victims, Nitesh (29) was recovered while that of Nishant (22) yet to be traced.

Fire and rescue personnel, coast guard and locals have launched a search operation for the missing person, police said.
