Two women knocked down

Two women were knocked down by a bus in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri district today.

Police said three women were crossing a road when a bus from neighbouring Bhutan knocked them down near Falakata.

While two women died on the spot, the injured was admitted to the Birpara state general hospital.

The driver of the vehicle managed to escape.
