UN envoy 'has no right' to discuss elections: Syria FM

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem said today that UN envoy Staffan de Mistura has "no right" to discuss future presidential elections in the war-wracked country.

"Neither he nor anyone else, whoever they may be, has the right to discuss presidential elections. This right is exclusively for the Syrian people," Muallem told a press conference in Damascus.
