Undertrial dies of illness in Muzaffarnagar jail

An undertrial prisoner of the District jail died allegedly due to illness here, an official said today.

Jail Superintendent Rakesh Singh said condition of Sanjiv (26), who was a patient of tuberculosis, suddenly deteriorated yesterday.

He was rushed to the district hospital where he was declared dead, Singh said.

Sanjiv was arrested in a murder case in May 15, 2015, the officer said.
