Undertrial escapes from police custody

The undertrial, identified as Rajendra Singh was taken to a court in Punjab for hearing by a group of five policemen, led by a head constable.

The officials were waiting for a bus to Ajmer in Merta town when Singh pushed them and fled from the spot, they said, adding efforts are on trace him.

Further probes are on into the case, police added.
