A 25-year-old undertrial at Rohini jail allegedly committed suicide over anxiety regarding the outcome of his kidnapping and murder case, police said today.
The inmate, identified as one Kuldeep, was facing trial in a case of kidnapping and murder of a child which was registered against him last year at Samaypur Badli police station in outer Delhi, police said.
"Kuldeep committed suicide by hanging himself using a piece of cloth inside the common bathroom of the jail in the evening yesterday. Preliminary inquiry suggests he was worried about the outcome of his case," said an officer at the jail.
