State-run lender Union Bank of India today launched electronic secured bank treasury receipt (e-SBTR) facility for the Maharashtra government.

"The e-SBTR system enhances ease of operation and convenience for citizens by providing single window payment facility of both stamp duty and registration fee," Bank's executive director Vinod Kathuria told reporters here today.

The new facility will be available at all its 500 branches of the bank in the state as well through internet banking, he said.

The facility allows payments without any ceiling and is available 24X7 through the year through internet banking.
