Budget 2016-17 is "directionless" and lacks vision, West Bengal Finance Minister Amit Mitra said today.
"The Budget is directionless and there is lack of vision. The budget is not people-centric and for West Bengal, there is nothing in the Union Budget," Mitra told reporters here.
Mitra was recently named the new chairman of the Empowered Committee of State Finance Ministers on Goods and Services Tax (GST).
State assembly elections will be held in West Bengal later this year.
