UP: 2 school security guards strangulated to death

Two security guards of a school were killed in Ghiror area here allegedly over a land dispute, police said today.

Jai Chandra Shakya (62) and Vimal Tewari (36) were strangulated to death last night and their bodies recovered from the school premises this morning, Superintendent of Police Deo Ranjan Verma said.

Shakya's son Sandeep has lodged an FIR accusing Girish Chandra, of village Nahili, of the killings, he said.

Girish had a land dispute with Shakya, the SP said, adding prima facie it appeared that Tewari was killed because he witnessed his colleague's murder.
