UP BJP chief mourns Arjan Singh's death

Uttar Pradesh BJP chief Mahendra Nath Pandey today condoled the demise of Marshal Arjan Singh.

The nation, especially the youth and soldiers, will derive inspiration from his dedication, courage and exemplary leadership, Pandey said.

"He was like a diamond and a pole-star in every war and had a born leadership quality," he added.

Marshal Arjan Singh, the hero of 1965 India-Pakistan war and the only Air Force officer to be promoted to five-star rank, died here today at the age of 98.
