UP CM visits NTPC blast victims; assures best medical care

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today visited various hospitals in the state capital and inquired about the medical treatment being given to those injured in the recent blast at NTPC's power plant in Unchahar.

An official statement issued by the state government said the chief minister enquired the well-being of each of the injured, and issued directives to doctors to ensure their proper treatment.

After returning from his Mauritius tour, the priest- turned-politician drove straight to the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute (SGPGI), where he enquired about the injured labourers.

After this, Adityanath headed to Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Hospital (Civil Hospital) and KGMU's trauma centre.
 

He also issued instructions that the injured labourers be given free medical treatment at state-run hospitals.

The BJP leader also held talks with NTPC officials.

As many as 32 persons had lost their lives in the November 1 mishap, making it the country's worst industrial disaster in eight years.
