Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik today congratulated former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on being awarded with Bharat Ratna.
In a statement issued here, the Governor said that Vajpayee is the most acceptable leader, who is honoured and praised by the leaders cutting across the party lines.
He said that Vajpayee is a multifaceted personality, who has the excellent capacity to take all along.
Naik expressed gratitude towards President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for conferring the highest civilian award to Vajpayee.
He said that with his capabilities, the former Prime Minister got recognition to the country on international platform.
The Uttar Pradesh unit of BJP also celebrated the occasion by distributing sweets.
