South-west monsoon has been active in Uttar Pradesh leading to rains and thundershowers at several places.
Mirzapur received 20 cm rains, followed by Banda 17 cm, Gaighat 16 cm, Ghosi and Chunar 13 cm each, Bani 11 cm, Ballia, Bansgaon and Sandila 9 cm each.
The MeT department has predicted rain or thundershowers in some areas, while heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at some places next week.

Meanwhile, one person died in Balrampur district of UP during a lightning strike.
Revti Yadav (25) was with his cattle in the field in Joravarpur area when lightning struck him this evening, police said.
The body has been sent for postmortem, they added.
