UP STF arrests wanted criminal

A wanted criminal, carrying a cash reward of Rs 10,000 on his head, was arrested here today by the Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh police.

Acting on a tip-off, Panna Lal Yadav and his accomplice Jai Prakash Maurya were arrested from Ajeez Nagar this evening by the Force, they said.

When quizzed, Yadav said that he absconded from the judicial custody in April 2009 while being taken to the court in connection with the murder of a trader.
