Refined soya oil prices higher by 0.42 per cent to Rs 633.54 per 10 kg in futures market today as traders enlarged their bets, tracking a firm trend at spot market on uptick in demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month April climbed Rs 2.65 or 0.42 per cent to Rs 633.54 per 10 kg with an open interest of 44,660 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in May contracts traded higher by Rs 2.35 or 0.37 per cent to Rs 638.35 per 10 kg in 63,130 lots.

Traders attributed the rise in refined soya oil futures to pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing belts.
