US approves $1.15 bn tank, weapons sale to Saudi: Pentagon

The United States has approved the possible sale of up to 153 tanks, hundreds of machine guns and various other military gear in a deal worth USD 1.15 billion, the Pentagon said today.

The State Department has made a determination approving a possible foreign military Sale to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said in a statement.
