Uttar Pradesh DGP Jagmohan Yadav retires from service

Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Jagmohan Yadav today retired after completing 32 years of service.
Yadav, a 1983 batch Indian Police Service officer, was appointed as the DGP of UP police in July this year taking charge from A K Jain, a home department release said.
The state government has not yet named the new DGP.

Yadav was awarded the President's medal during the 2011 Republic Day parade, the release said.
Besides Yadav, 1981 batch IPS officer Kamlendra Prasad also retired after a service of 34 years. He was also awarded the President's medal in 2006.
