The film has been written and directed by Gaurav of 'Thoonga Nagaram' fame. The pre-production work for 'Sigaram Thodu' has commenced and the film's shooting is expected to begin from April 2013.
"As a Studio it has been our constant endeavour to bring across the right mix of content for our consumers like we have done with our Hindi slate. South is a key market for us and we will be announcing an equally eclectic slate this side as well," said G Dhananjayan, Chief South Business, Studios, DisneyUTV.
'Settai', a remake of Hindi film 'Delhi Belly' and directed by R Kannan, will be UTV's first release in Tamil this February while 'Sigaram Thodu' will hit theatres in December.
