V-Mart Q4 net profit down 70% to Rs 0.48 crore

Multi-brand retail chain V-Mart today reported 70 per cent decline in its standalone net profit at Rs 48 lakh for the fourth quarter ended on March 31, 2016.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 1.60 crore during the January-March quarter in a year-ago period.

V-Mart's net sales during the quarter under review was up 4.28 per cent to Rs 177.50 crore as against Rs 170.21 crore during the same period of last fiscal, the company said in a BSE filing.

For the full 2015-16 fiscal, V-Mart's standalone net profit was down by 26.04 per cent to Rs 27.63 crore as against Rs 37.36 crore in the fiscal previous to it.
 

However, its net sales were up 12.54 per cent to Rs 808.16 crore in 2015-16 as against Rs 718.97 crore in 2014-15.

Kalpataru Power Transmission Q4 net rises 80% to Rs 72 cr * Kalpataru Power Transmission (KPTL) today reported 79.6 per cent rise in standalone net profit at Rs 71.96 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 on the back of higher income from operations.

The company had posted a net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates of Rs 40.06 crore in the year-ago period, KPTL said in a filing to BSE.

The total income from operations (net) during the increased to Rs 1,380.52 crore, over Rs 1,070.97 crore in the year-ago period.
