University Coordination Council of Association of University Teachers, Bharathiar University, has drawn up an agitational plan to press for constituting an inquiry committee to probe the alleged misdeeds of the Vice-Chancellor of the University.
As part of the plan, a demonstration will be held here in the first week and a fast in the second week of September, Dr P Thirunavukkarasu, UCC Chairman, said in a release today.
The members of AUT will take out a procession in the city demanding removal of the vice chancellor in the fourth week of September, he said.
The decision to this effect was taken in the recent UCC meeting held in Erode, which resolved to seek appointment with Tamil Nadu Governor, Chief Minister and Higher Education minister, to explain about the state of affairs prevailing in the university and also vice-chancellor's alleged indulgence in corruption, maladministration and nepotism, he said.
