Anti-corruption vigilance sleuths today detected as many as 37 plots and properties worth Rs 97.85 lakh in possession of the secretary of Balianata-Bainchua cooperative bank, officials said.
The cooperative bank secretary was identified as Debendra Prusty and he was accused of accumulating properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The sleuths undertook simultaneous search of Prusty's office and residences, an official release said adding, during the search, so far movable and immovable assets were detected from his possession.

Immovable properties consist of a double storied building at Bainchua, single storied building at Bainchua, 37 plots at Belurihata Dedhalo, Ramchandrapur and Bainchua with a total approximate value of Rs 63,34,348, it said.
Movable properties like household articles and vehicles worth over Rs 14 lakh, Rs 13,890 in cash and ornaments worth Rs 3,93,260 were seized, the release said.
Beside this a sum of Rs 13,20,430 was found deposited in different banks and LIC and advance of Rs 3,05,000 for purchase of a plot and land mortgage were also detected.
"Total immovable and movable asset of Debendra Kumar Prusty, secretary, Service Cooperative Society, Bainchua in Khurda district has been calculated so far at Rs 97,85,216," it added.
