The traditional 'Hingot war' would take place at Gautampura village in Indore district on October 31, a day after Diwali.
In this annual ritual, burning 'Hingots' (a hollow wild fruit stuffed with explosive powder) are launched, much like Diwali rockets, at each other by two 'armies' from Gautampura and Runji villages.
Every year a lot of people get injured in the fight.

District Collector P Narhari told PTI that in view of its traditional and religious significance, there was no proposal to prohibit the fight.
However, like every year, the administration will make arrangements for providing immediate medical help to the injured persons, he added.
A PIL regarding the Hingot battle is also pending before the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
Deepak Bourasi, the petitioner, said it was scheduled for next hearing on November 10. The PIL demands that the conduct of fight, such as the quantity of explosive powder used to stuff a Hingot-missile, be regulated to make it safer.
