A Village Revenue Officer (VRO) in Andhra Pradesh was caught today while accepting a bribe of Rs 17,000, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) said.
Medara Pullaiah, posted as VRO in Kosuru mandal of Guntur district, was trapped while accepting the illegal gratification from a person, a resident of Balimarru village which falls under his jurisdiction, for doing an official favour, an ACB release said.
The officer has been arrested, it added.
