Village revenue officer suspended for dereliction of duty

A village revenue officer (VRO) was placed under suspension for dereliction of duty, said Jagtial District Collector A Sharath.

A Naresh Raju, working as VRO for Battapalli, Potharam and Sarangapur villages in Sarangapur mandal, reportedly attended the office in an inebriated condition and did not performed his duties properly, Sharath said in a release.

"Disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against Raju for dereliction of duty," added the Collector.
