Wanted man arrested from West Bengal

A man wanted by police for his alleged involvement in over 30 heinous crimes was arrested from Hubli in West Bengal, police said today.

Akshay Sahoo alias Akhana, who had absconded after the killing of one Prashant Pani in the city about six months ago, was arrested on Monday, City DCP Sanjiv Arora said.

Akhana was allegedly involved in more than 30 cases of murder, dacoity, extortion and bombing incidents in Cuttack, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapada police districts.
