Water level at 55.89 feet

The water level in the Mettur dam this morning stood at 55.89 feet against the full level of 120 feet.

Inflow was 23,721 cusecs while outflow 800 cusecs, PWD officials said.

PWD sources said they were expecting 25,000 cusecs of water from Karnataka's Kabani reservoir and 10,000 cusecs from Krishnaraja Sagar within few days.
