Press Trust of India Kolkata
With the Supreme Court slamming the West Bengal government for non-cooperation in setting up a Green Tribunal bench at Kolkata and directing that it be shifted to Ranchi or Guwahati, CPI(M) today said the ruling Trinamool was not serious about it.

"It is really unfortunate. The state government is not at all serious about setting up the Green Tribunal bench in Kolkata," Leader of the Opposition in WB Assembly Surya Kanta Mishra said.

"This is not the first time. Earlier in the case of investments too, we have seen they (Trinamool) were not at all serious about setting up industries," Mishra said.

He said the image of West Bengal, which is considered the gateway to the Northeast, has diminished due to the state government's negligence.
