WB minor rescued from brothel in Delhi

A minor girl, hailing from West Bengal, who was forced into prostitution, was rescued from a brothel at GB Road and a woman arrested in this connection, police said today.

"The girl was kidnapped from Parganas area of West Bengal by a man Rohit, who brought her to Delhi on the pretext of taking her to Kolkata and sold her to Roshni (30) who allegedly forced her into prostitution," Additional Commissioner(central) Alok Kumar said.

A complaint was registered at Kamla Market police station by West Bengal police along with an NGO named Shakti Vahni, he said, adding that later it was learnt that the girl has been confined in a brothel in GB Road.
 

A raid was conducted by a joint team of Delhi and West Bengal police yesterday and the minor girl was rescued from the brothel. Police also arrested Roshni, he said adding that police is investigating the case further.
