Woman alleges rape by three men

A 24-year-old married woman was allegedly raped by three persons in Bandlaguda area here, police said today.

The woman lodged a complaint with the Kushaiguda police last night and said the incident took place on June 20 when she had gone to a telephone booth and two motorcycle-borne persons forcibly took her away to an isolated place.

"Another person joined them and they raped me," she alleged.

Inspector N Venkata Ramana of Kushaiguda police station said further probe was on.

"We are verifying facts and collecting details. The victim told us that she had gone to her mother's house that day and stepped out to make a call to her husband from a public telephone booth when the incident took place," he said.
