A woman and her daughter were found dead under mysterious circumstances in Rahul Garden here, police said.
Neelam and her minor daughter, Kavya, were found dead in their house at Dhama Enclave. The incident occurred last night, said Loni Border police station in-charge Ranveer Singh.
"The husband, Roshan, was arrested after Neelam's father alleged his daughter and granddaughter were killed for dowry," he said.
Roshan and his family, however, claim the duo died of burns after a kerosene tin fell on a fire.
The couple was married for four years and both were residents of Madhubani in Bihar, Singh said.
