Woman commits suicide by hanging, her parents allege murder

A 27-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging and her body was found at her residence in Bhilwara district, police said today.

Sonam committed suicide by hanging herself last night in her room, whereas her parents allege that she was murdered by her husband and mother-in-law, SHO Pur police station Ravindra Pratap Singh said.

"When we reached the house, her body was lying on a bed and there was rope nearby," he added.

A suicide note was found in the room in which the woman said she took the extreme step on her own wish, he said.

"The body was handed over to her parents after postmortem and the matter is being investigated," he said adding that there was no arrest made so far.
