Woman commits suicide in Mumbai

A 44-year-old woman today allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the terrace of a building in South Mumbai, police said.

Rupa Shah, ended her life by jumping off the terrace of the five-storey 'Ramlal Mansion' near Metro cinema, where she lived with her family, at around 12:30 PM, a senior police official said.

No suicide note was found from the spot and the reasons why she took the extreme step are not yet known, he added.

A case was registered in this regard and a probe was underway, the official said.
