Woman commits suicide on police station premises in Telangana

A 25-year-old woman committed suicide today on Sircilla (rural) police station premises in the district allegedly over marital discord, police said.

The woman was unhappy over strained relationship with her husband, police said.

She had earlier approached Mustabad police station for a resolution to the problem, where the couple was counselled to live amicably, they said.

However, when their relationship did not improve the woman reached Sircilla (rural) police station this afternoon and consumed insecticide. She died on the way to hospital, they said.

Investigation is on, police said.
