Woman drug peddler arrested in Punjab

A woman drug peddler was arrested today and 10 kg of poppy husk was recovered from her at local railway station here, police said.

Baljit Kaur of nearby village Chaheru smuggled the poppy husk from Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh and was waiting for a train for Chaheru when, on search, police recovered ten kg poppy husk, an official said.

She was arrested under different Sections of NDPS Act, he said.
