Body of a 45-year-old woman was found today by one of her relatives, in Dawudi plot area of Morbi town, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Narmada Rathod. In the preliminary investigation, we have found that the woman was strangled to death, Inspector B P Sonara of Morbi, a division police station from the neighbouring Morbi district said.
She was found dead after one of her distant relatives Devu Solanki came to meet her in Morbi, Sonara said.

"When Solanki found the house locked, she enquired about Narmada with nearby residents. She then saw Narmada's 15-year-old son roaming there," he said.
When she asked him about where his mother's whereabouts, he told her that she died yesterday due to cardiac arrest and her body had been taken to Ahmedabad.
"However, Solanki suspected him and broke the door of the house and found Narmada dead inside. In the preliminary probe, we found strangulation marks on her neck," Sonara said.
Police said that the victim's neighbours told them that a few days back, Narmada had an argument with her son, after he was caught stealing her ornaments.
"The teenager also fled from the scene, when Solanki was trying to open the door," the officer added.
According to Sonara, the police teams have launched a search to nab him and the victim's body has been sent for post mortem.
