Woman gives birth to conjoined twins in Beed, Maharashtra

A woman has given birth to conjoined twins at Swami Ramanand Teerth Government Hospital in Ambejogai tehsil in Beed district of Maharashtra.

The twins have two separate heads but a single torso and only one set of hands and legs.

The condition of the twins, born yesterday, is critical and they have been put on ventilator, said Dr Sanjay Bansode, head of the Gynaecology Department of the hospital.
