Woman killed over dowry in Noida

A woman was allegedly murdered by her husband and in-laws over dowry at Harolla area here, police said today.

The victim's brother, Sagar Choudhary has registered a complaint against four persons, including the woman's husband Rohit Awana, at the Sector 20 police station, said ASP Gaurav Grover.

"Choudhary has alleged that his sister was killed for dowry on January 30. He in his complaint said that the accused were demanding more dowry despite being given a BMW car, Rs 11 lakh in cash and 50 'tola' of gold jewellery," he said.

The victim was married to Awana, a resident of Harolla here, in February 2012, the ASP said.
